1. The wife would not let me buy a new gun!

   With the current ammo shortages going on, it can be costly or near impossible to be able to go to the range to have some fun. I traded in my sig.40 cal about 8 years ago, and had 200 rounds left over. My wife would not let me buy a new 40! Well I have a old savage double barrel and found out about short lane adapters; jokes on her now I got to fire that ammo without having to buy a new gun. The adapter works the way it is supposed to and works well. I got a scavenger series (smooth bore) I didn’t expect it to drive 1 M.o.a @ 1000 yards. Nor 100 for that matter. I would like to think the pathfinder series might have a chance at 100 and I hope to find out soon. I had some old scavenged ammo bought a scavenger adapter and had fun without hurting my wallet. Thank you short lane for a solution to a problem.

2. .40 S&W Surprisingly Accurate for a Smooth-bore

   This was my first of 5 adapters I currently have. I would have liked it to be rifled, but as a smooth-bore adapter, the accuracy of it was surprising. My testing was at 30-50', off sandbags, at the bench. My old Stevens 12 gauge, break-action is fitted with a Williams WGRS Aperture Rear Sight, and a Lyman 17 Front Globe Target Sight. Targets the size of soda cans, or clay pigeons are easy pickings at 50! Squirrels or Rabbits should be easy. I would buy a rifled 40 S&W adapter, in a heart-beat, if Short Lane decided to make one. Especially, if it was a 8" Pathfinder. I'm very pleased!

4. All Adapters work great

   I have tried all of them they all work fine in my H&R 12 gauge an once you learn to sight it in they are Farley accurate good enough to get a squirrel or rabbit.
