10. 12 gauge to 410 / 45 Colt Scavenger Series

    I was undecided on what firearm to purchase for a survival firearm. I was very excited to purchase a single shot break open action 12 gauge shotgun. When I learned I could purchase these adapters in so many calibers I got really excited. I realized the practicality of having almost every caliber into my shotgun. 11. wife really likes it

    We have a Stevens 301 break action 12 gauge. My wife doesn't like the recoil. I got the 410/45 adapter for her to try. She really likes it. The 45's were surprisingly accurate for an effective 3 inch smooth barrel. She also shot some 410's with #8 shot. They were also accurate with a reasonable pattern at about 20 yards.
    
    The ejector on the 301 ejects the adapter. I was a bit annoyed at first. However, we found that the easiest way to remove the spent 410 shell was to poke it out from the front of the adapter. Most importantly, my wife really likes it.
